Top price of the day came from the noted Ridge Dean herd, as Ridge Dean VAT, winner of many prizes in the summer shows, sold for 8500gns

Wilodge Vantastic from DA Williams sold for 8200gns, second top price of the day
Tamhorn Ulysses
Second bull into the ring from Danny and Jane Wylie, Tamhorn Ulysses made 7000gns
Luke Royal Vicar
Luke Royal Vicar from Mel & Diane Lucas, Co. Antrim, sold for 5500 to Mick Gambol, Sharplow, Kelso
Darwin Du Coin
Male Champion came from Gavin Shanks, Biggar, with Darwin 9908 Du Coin, which sold for 3500gns
Hillside Viagra
Last bull into the ring, Hillside Viagra from Messrs Stoddart, Wigton, fetched 5500gns
Clannangael Uma
Champion female, and Supreme champion was Clannangael Uma from Tom Galligan, Stockport. It sold for 4000gns to the judge, Tom Robinson, Catlow

British Blue bulls peak at 16,000gns
British Blue breeders enjoyed a bumper days trading at the Border British Blue Club’s Twentieth Annual Spring Show & Sale at Carlisle on Saturday 15 May. [report]


On Monday 26th April, The Border British Blue Club held their annual show and sale of primestock in conjunction with Harrison and Hetheringtons weekly primestock sale. [report]
On Wednesday 3rd March the Border British Blue club were guests of Kevin Watret and family at Maulscastle Farm, Annan to view their renowned Solway View herd of British Blues. [report]
