Bonerbo Vanguard, out of Begonia De La Faussie and by Tamhorn Sumo, topped the small consignment of Belgian Blues, for Messrs. J Stevenson & Co, with a commanding high price of 4,000gns. Vanguard finds a new home, just across the border, with S R Findlay, Cockburns Path, Berwickshire.

From the same stable and with the same genetics, Bonerbo Victor was a close runner up, being knocked down at 3,600gns. He makes the long journey to his new home with E M Fleet, Holm, Orkney.

Both animals were recorded, with beef values in the top 1% of the breed.
