Tanat Jemma tops Welshpool at 5,000gns

The successful show heifer, Tanat Jemma, from Wyn & Dianne Jones, took the top price at Welshpool, on Saturday 28th November 2015, selling to 5,000gns.

Jemma has a Carcase Profitability Index of +16 (Top 15%) and is one of the first offspring to be sold, by Grommit Hof Ter Zilverberg and out of the Bringlee Blackstar-sired, Boomer Fendi. She will now travel across the water, to T O’Doherty from Co. Clare, Republic of Ireland.

The Newroddige Herd of Messrs. Mallaber & Wyllie topped the bulls with Newroddige Jurassic, a Mountjoy Utopia son out of Tamhorn Foxtail Lily, selling to 4,000gns. With good EBV figures, Jurassic finds a new home with JA Wood & Sons, Kinnerton Farm, Shrewsbury.

Dylan Rees sold Blue Stone Ipad, a Blue Stone Edward son to 3,000gns. After a successful show season, he finds a new home with I Tay, Penfathor Isaf, Pendaron, Powys.

Also at 3,000gns was Tanat Jupiter again from Wyn & Dianne Jones. Overall Champion calf at the North West British Blue Cattle Breeder’s Club Calf Show and sired by Adajio De Bray and out of Ridge Dean Emily, Jupiter was successfully purchased by DE Lewis & Son, Abermithel, Llandrindod Wells, Powys.

Selling at 2,800gns was Glewstone Indigo from young breeder, Sam Madeley. This almost black heifer, was out of High Moss Darth Vadar and sired by Crackley Bank Fantabidosie. Indigo sold to T Jones, Curatage, Oswestry, Shropshire.
