2009 Calf ShowThe Wales and Border British Blue Club Held their 2009 Annual Calf Show At Llandovery Livestock Market, Camarthenenshire on 7th November 2009. Members Travelled from Shropshire, Staffordshire, South West and Mid Wales. Our Judge of the day Was Mr Ted Haste from the Stoneleigh Herd. Vice Chairman Rhys Bellis thanked Mr Haste for agreeing to Judge the Calf Show. Thanks also went to Beili Farm Feeds, Agri Lloyd and Camarthen & Pumpsaint Farmers for Sponsoring the Classes.
In the Pedigree Section the Overall Supreme Champion was awarded to Graham Brindley With His December Born Female Bringlee Desiree. Desiree Was Sired By Sjaka and Out Of Famous Bringlee Sandy. the Reserve CHAMPION was awarded to Gill and Rhys Bellis With Betws Elliot. Elliot Is An April Born Calf By Visconti and Out Of Currarie Primrose. Reserve Female Champion Was Awarded Again To Graham Brindley With Bringlee Estelle, Again Out Of Bringlee Sandy and Was Sired By Graphite. Reserve Male Went To Geraint and Kim Williams With Dragon Blues Dylan.dylan Is A December Born Bull Sired By Bringlee Volkawagon and Out Of Dundrod Sophie. Champion Pair Also Went To Graham Brindley With Bringlee Desiree and Bringlee Dorinda, Both Are Sired By Sjaka and Out Of Bringlee Sandy. Reserve Pair Went To Llyr Evans With Emlyn Blues El-bendito and Emlyn Blues Esgair. Both Are Sired By Viscont De St Fontaine and Out Of Currarie Primrose. In the Crossbred Section the Overall Champion was awarded to Berwyn Hughes With His Single Entry, Lady In Black. Sired by a Limousin and out of a Pedigree British Blue Dam. Lady In Black Was Champion Calf 12 To 15 months. Reseve Champion In the Crossbred Section Was from Boomer Birch Of Staffordshire With His Single Entry, Graham. Sired by Colibri Du Coin and out of a Limousin Cross Dam. Boomer Was Awarded Champion Calf Under 12 months. Reserve Champion Calf Under 12 months was awarded to Brian Griffthis With His Heifer Linda. Sired By Annanwater Vince and out of a Limousin Cross Dam. Reserve Champion Calf 12 To 15 months was awarded to Dai Thomas
