Leyburn Spring Spectacular

Leyburn Mart held its annual Spring Spectacular for Show Potential Cattle on Saturday 9th March 2013.

Although less numbers were forward the quality of cattle presented to the judge Phil Sellers from Lincolnshire remained high. Customers appeared from Sutherland in the far north to Devon in the south to view and purchase the animals on offer.

Top price of the day of £2600 went to John Smith-Jackson of Haltwhistle with a British Blue heifer knocked down to Andrew Richardson from Appleby. This heifer also takes the special award from the British Blue Cattle Society as the champion Blue as well as being the reserve champion heifer.
