Caledonian Marts Premier Show & Sale of Suckled Calves

The annual Caledonian Marts Premier Show & Sale of Suckled Calves was held on 6th September 2013.

In the commercial Section, a large entry of cattle sold with a flying trade throughout.

Bullock Calves averaging £1087.09, a massive leap on the year of £223 or 43p per kg with calves being 23kgs heavier.

Heifer Calves averaged £965.68, a leap of £187 or 41p per kg on the year with calves being 18kgs heavier.

Haltered Bullocks averaged 407p per kg or £1625.26 per head and to £14 per kg for a 300kg British Blue from W Brewster, Wester Borland, Thornhill
