The Champion Beef Animal at Bakewell Christmas Primestock Show was a British Blue heifer from Wayne Smith, Leek. She weighed in at 612kg and sold for 360p/pkg (£2,203.20) She was purchased from the British Blue Sale at Chelford in March. An animal the same way bred was also the Supreme Champion at Leek.
