Blues Champion and Reserve at Kirkby Stephen

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their opening prize show and Sale of Store Cattle for 2018, on Monday 15th January where a catalogued entry of 547 cattle were on offer.

Champion

Taking the overall Championship and topping the sale at £2250 was a British Blue heifer from Messrs Pedley, Oaktree, Barbon and which was bought by Messrs Williamson, Hamsterley.

Reserve Champion

Taking the Reserve Championship was the first placed steer; a British Blue cross consigned by Messrs Sowerby, Terrys Farm, Ormside which went on to sell for £1475 to Messrs Hargreaves, Preston.

The pre sale show was kindly sponsored by I’Ansons of Masham and was judged by Mr William Fawcett, Alnwick.
