Quality Blues Realise £2,765 Average At Perth
A small but select, quality entry of Belgian Blues
at Perth, realised an average of £2,765. "Leverhulme Raleigh
ET", from Leverhulme Farms, was put up as Supreme Champion, by
Judge, Jim Reid, Bengall, Lockerbie. This animal, out of " Leverhulme
Miriam ET" by "Elkehard Van De Wolvendreef", topped
the trade at 3,400 guineas.
Coming a close second, as Reserve Champion, was "Bonerbo Rascal ET"
out of "Vaporeuse De Miecret" by "Repute De My",
from Messrs J Stevenson & Co. He went on to sell for 2,500 guineas.
Douglas Shedden & Sons found a new home for "Newfield Rambo", out
of "Petteril Kylie" by "Valley Jackaroo" at a very respectable
2,000 guineas.
There was keen interest around the ring for this small consignment. Society Secretary,
John Fleming, commented "Buyers at Perth are looking for quality animals
with good mobility, which are well grown for their age. They were certainly not
disappointed in those forward at Perth this February."
